Welcome to my nature photography website. My primary interest is in photographing the nature, especially birds and insects of North-America and Europe. I've explored many national parks, nature wildlife preserves, national monuments, national wildlife refuges, state parks, national recreation areas and national forests throughout the worldespecially the United States and Canada (primary interest).

I'm also interested in flora, macro and landscape. When I stayed at the university I was involved in fieldworks for biology assessment / valuation. For my different researches I got my first experiences in macro-photography. In that time most of my image-motifs  were threatened or endangered dragonflies and butterflies and so I needed pictures with much details for certain identifications. Frequently it’s only possible to identify dragonflies on wing-cells (Sympetrum) and butterflies (Boloria or Speyeria) on pattern like dots, dashes, lines and bars. Through the photography it isn't needful to stun or kill those red listed insects for identification. So I got my attitude to think that it’s necessary to identify the image motifs that we take pictures of.

Unfortunately I'm not able to waste much time to develop my homepage. I prefer to spend my time outside. I hope you enjoy my photography. You can browse through diverse galleries by clicking the Gallery or Portfolio above. Feel free to contact me for comments. Any criticism are sincerely appreciated!
